It's surrounded with snow-white, fine sand and crystal-clear, turquoise coloured water, which invites to snorkel, bathing and diving. There are no cars or motorbikes, the only means of transportation are Cidomos.

| On the sea promenade you can find restaurants, small island supermarkets, an internet cafe with public phone, the dive school Blue Marlin Diving Adventures and several sellers for boat excursions for snorkelling or visiting Gili Air or Gili Trawangan. Don't miss the sunset on the islands Westside, which you can enjoy best from the restaurant "Good Heart". The cidomos (horse cars) for a trip around the island are located at the boats landing place. The price is negotiable. On foot it takes approximately 1 1/2 hours. | ||

It is possible to use the swimming-pools of the nearby Jayakarta Hotel for a small fee. The town Ampenan and the tourist-center Senggigi are simple and fast (about 4 km) to reach with the Bemo (minibus), taxi or horse-carriage. | |
